CT Scan - Computer Tomography
CT imaging, sometimes called a CAT Scan, helps physicians diagnose and treat many medical conditions. CT Scans use a series of X-ray views taken from different angles to produce multiple images of the inside of the body. A computer then joins these images together in cross-sectional and 3-D views.
DEXA Scan
If you have had symptoms of osteoporosis (thinning of bone tissue), your doctor has likely mentioned a DEXA Scan. DEXA stands for Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry. A physician will determine if you should have a DEXA Scan based on several factors.
Digital Mammography
With mammograms, more breast cancers are caught in the earliest, most treatable stages. We provide digital mammography at our Everett, Edmonds, Mill Creek, and Smokey Point clinics.
MRI - Magnetic Resonance Imaging
This advanced medical imaging technique produces clear pictures of the body. The Everett Clinic’s MRI has more space for the patient to help with claustrophobia.
Nuclear Medicine
Nuclear medicine diagnoses (and in some cases treats) many diseases of the body including heart disease, gastrointestinal, endocrine, cancer and neurological disorders. Nuclear scans use small amounts of radioactive material to provide accurate images to help healthcare providers study organs and tissues and how they are working.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to produce high quality moving images of soft tissues of the body. It allows physicians to visualize small differences in tissue, which helps them make a diagnosis.
X-ray
X-rays are a form of electromagnetic radiation, just like visible light. An X-ray machine sends individual X-ray particles through the body. For most X-rays, the risk is low. A computer records the images created. Structures that are dense (such as bone) block most of the X-ray particles, and appear white.
